Terms of Service.

These terms are an agreement between you and Perfroute Inc., a Delaware corporation (“Perfroute,” “we,” “us”), for your use of the heyv16 apps and service (“heyv16”). By using heyv16 you accept them. If you don’t accept them, don’t use heyv16. Questions: contact@heyv16.com.

heyv16 records your speech at your request, transcribes it, cleans up the text, and delivers it to you (to your clipboard or at your cursor). Optionally, if you turn on saving, it stores your notes so they sync across your devices. That is the service — there are no hidden features, and these terms don’t pretend otherwise.

You own everything you record and every transcript and cleaned text produced from it. You grant Perfroute a limited license to process your audio and text — and to store it if you enabled saving — solely to operate the service for you. That license ends when the content is deleted. We claim no other rights to your words, and we do not use your content for advertising, sale, sharing, or training AI models.

• Recording laws: you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply when you record — including obtaining any required consent from people whose voices you record. heyv16 is built for dictating your own words; recording others without consent may be illegal where you are.
• Lawful use: don’t use heyv16 for anything illegal, and don’t abuse the service — no attempting to breach security or access others’ data, no reverse engineering except where the law permits it, no overloading or resale of the service, and no automated bulk use outside the app’s intended operation.
• Eligibility: you must be at least 13 years old.

Transcription and cleanup are performed by automated speech recognition and AI language models. The output can contain errors — a wrong name, a wrong number, a misheard word. heyv16 always keeps the raw transcript alongside the cleaned text so you can check, and you should review the output before relying on it for anything consequential. You are responsible for the content you paste, send, or publish.

heyv16 may include a free usage allowance and may offer paid plans. We may change allowances, pricing, or features prospectively; if you are on a paid plan, changes to what you already paid for take effect at your next renewal. Hitting a usage limit never deletes your recordings — processing simply waits.

The privacy policy is part of these terms. Its short version: nothing is saved unless you turn saving on; saved content is encrypted and used only to serve you; delete means delete; no ads, no data sales, no training on your content.

You can stop using heyv16 at any time — “Delete everything” in the app removes your data and ends the relationship; there is no account to close. We may suspend or terminate service for abuse of these terms, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice, in which case you will have the opportunity to export your saved data first.

heyv16 is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement; we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perfroute’s total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to heyv16 is limited to the greater of fifty US dollars ($50) or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim; and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, data, or goodwill. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You will indemnify Perfroute against third-party claims arising from your violation of these terms, including recording without required consent.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction — except that either side may bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and nothing here limits rights that consumer-protection law grants you in your country of residence.

If we change these terms, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use heyv16 after a change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
